Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the Ausbildung program, life in Germany, and how Parea helps you get there.

Unlike traditional university studies, an Ausbildung is a paid apprenticeship. You will receive a gross monthly salary (Ausbildungsvergütung) ranging typically from €950 to €1,300 (UGX 3.8m - 5.2m), depending on your profession and region.

This allowance is designed to cover your basic living costs in Germany, such as rent, food, health insurance, and transport, allowing you to be financially independent while you learn.

Germany has a massive shortage of skilled workers, meaning your job security is very high. Upon successful completion:

  • Permanent Employment: Most companies hire their apprentices as full-time employees immediately.
  • Further Studies: You qualify to study for a Bachelor's degree or a "Meister" (Master Craftsman) qualification.
  • Permanent Residency: As a qualified professional, you are on a fast track to obtaining permanent residency in Germany.

From the day you join our A1 class to the day you fly to Germany, the process typically takes 10 to 14 months.

This includes approx. 6-8 months of intensive language training (A1–B1/B2) and 3-6 months for interview preparation, contract securing, and visa processing. We guide you through every single month of this journey.

To be eligible for an Ausbildung visa, you generally need:

  • Academic: A UACE (S.6) Certificate or a National Certificate/Diploma/Degree in a relevant field.
  • Language: A B1/B2 Level German Certificate (Goethe or ÖSD). *We prepare you for this exam.*
  • Age: While there is no strict legal upper age limit, applicants between 18–35 have the highest success rate for securing contracts.

This depends on the employer. Many hospitals and larger companies provide subsidized rooms for their apprentices. If not, your employer usually assists you in finding a shared apartment (WG). Parea Deutschlink also connects you with our alumni network in Germany for advice and support.

We are an educational and career preparation center, not a recruitment agency. Therefore, we do not "sell" jobs.

However, we empower you to secure your own success. We provide the critical language skills, German-standard CV writing, and interview coaching that have helped our students successfully secure contracts. If you put in the work, the opportunities are waiting for you.
